Welcome to the very first issue of Home Botany Magazine!
If you are reading this, you’ve probably experienced the specific, quiet heartbreak of watching your R350 Monstera slowly turn into a very expensive pile of brown mulch. Don’t worry—you’re in a safe space. Whether you’re a seasoned "Urban Junglist" with a misting schedule more disciplined than a Swiss watch, or someone who currently has a succulent dying of spite on a windowsill, this magazine will be here to guide you.
The mission of this magazine is simple: to bridge the gap between Botanical Science and "I forgot to water it for three weeks because I got sucked into a true-crime documentary." Home Botany will help you understand that having a green thumb isn’t a genetic gift—it’s just developing the ability to listen when your Fiddle Leaf Fig is being dramatic.
In this debut issue, we’re stripping away the jargon and the "Low-Light Lies" (read the article in our first issue) to give you the dirt on what your plants actually want. (Spoiler: It’s usually just a little more sun and a lot less "experimental" fertilizer.)
So, grab a trowel, move that Pothos six inches to the left, and let’s grow something together. Just try not to overwater the cover—ink doesn't photosynthesize!
